Costs of wedding: UK VS US

Who spends more?

Wedding-mania is spreading all over the world and wedding industry is probably one of the most profitable industries.  Americans are known for their over the top wedding, interestingly Brits are not worse on this subject. But who is the biggest spender?

I don’t know if this will surprise you, but, when it comes to the money spend on a wedding Americans are leading.

How much does an average American wedding cost?
The Knot's 10th annual version of its Real Weddings Study found that the "overall cost of a wedding has soared to new heights, with a national average of $35,329 (and that's not including the honeymoon)," wrote Maggie Seaver.
According to a new survey of 4,000 brides, the average cost of a UK wedding is now a whopping £27, 161 the highest it’s ever been and up 9.6 percent from last year.

Also revealing how wedding spending varies by region in the UK, the average cost of a wedding rises to £33,884, while couples from the Midlands proved the most frugal, spending an average of £25,915 on their wedding.  The data collected by the free wedding planning website Hitched shows how ridiculously expensive nuptials are becoming with the biggest elements on average being venue hire  (£4,354), honeymoon (£3,630), and the food (£3,353).

Although there are some differences no matter if they are American, British, or whatever after the confetti dust gets swept away they are all left the same - BROKE :D

Hope you enjoyed it!
Bye Bye
