Black Sails

Black Sails is an American historical adventure television series telling about settlers of the New Providence Island. As the golden age of piracy came to its end, this old British colony was considered to be the home for many outlaws. Directors Jonathan E. Steinberg and Robert Levine throw us right into the days, where pirates have to fight for survival every day, hunting for better and better guarded merchant ships, which often turn out to be traps set for too greedy daredevils.

But! You could not be more wrong thinking that the show is based only on plundering and partisan clashes with British troops. Fans of intrigue from Game of Thrones will not be disappointed at all because the series offers equally interesting interactions between the inhabitants of the island and, above all, the increasingly tense conflicts between the captains.

Despite the slow development of events at the beginning of the season, suddenly we find ourselves addicted to the show. 'just one more episode', sounds familiar? Yes, 'Black Sails' is that kind of show which makes you stay up all night. But, what can be more important than the future fate of our favourites? School? Family? Friendship? Come off it!
