Alcohol consumption

Alcohol consumption

We already know who spends the most on a wedding, so now it is time to find out who spends more on drinking, or more precisely, who drinks more!

According to Wikipedia UK has a strong 25th place on the 'List of countries by alcohol consumption per capita'. It gained its place on the list thanks to an average score of 11.6 liters of pure alcohol per a citizen above 15 years old. Quite nice, right? Interestingly, it also shows that Brits prefer beer to any other types of alcohol (36.9%). Second is wine (33.6), and lastly, come spirits (21.8).

According to the same list, US is ....... only 48th! With this score, UK beats the US quite hard. Now, I don't really know if the enthusiasm is appropriate in here, but hey, a win is a win.

Americans also have a thing for beer as this research shows that 50% of the alcohol consumed yearly in the US is beer. In comparison to Brits, Americans consume far less wine (only 17.3%), and more spirits (32.7).

So this is it. I hope I have satisfied your craving for this type of knowledge. Now you can go and spread it in the word.
You will hear from me soon
Bye Bye
