McDonald's in UK

When we think about Americans we imagine them as fat people with hamburgers in both hands, and when it comes to the English we think they are thin and all they want is tea. But is it really like that? Let’s talk about fast foods in the UK, and let's focus on one of the most famous restaurants in the world - McDonald’s.

To highlight the fact that hamburgers are something serious in the UK, and McDonald’s is popular there you should know that the Queen owns a McDonald’s about 80 miles outside of London. Well...not exactly queen, it is owned by the Crown Estate but still… WOW!!!

Oh damn...
There are now 1,249 McDonald’s in UK, and there is only one county in the whole Britain (Rutland) that does not have a McDonald’s.

McDonald's .... McDonald's everywhere...

In the UK they have a special item in the menu, which is unique and available only over there – a Backon Roll.

While thinking how Margaret Thatcher’s day of work looked like you should have this image in your head:

Yes! Here she is, in McDonald’s UK head office in Finchley. It was opened in 1983 by her, the prime minister but also the local MP.  And the fun fact is that she described a Big Mac as "absolutely enormous" and doubted how anyone could hold it in one hand.

So now, do not think that they are so innocent, and they eat fish & chips only and drink only tea.
No, no, no…
